Anti-condensation Butterfly Valve

Anti-condensation design for chilled water and HVAC applications

An anti-condensation butterfly valve is a quarter-turn flow control device engineered for chilled water, refrigeration, and low-temperature HVAC systems where conventional valves are prone to surface sweating.

Working Principle

Condensation occurs when the surface temperature falls below the dew-point temperature of ambient air. The anti‑condensation butterfly valve adopts a long heat‑insulating neck and aluminum alloy body to reduce cold transfer from low‑temperature medium to the outer surface, keeping the outer shell above dew‑point to avoid condensation dripping.

Own Processed Rotating Shaft And Piston
JIMAI has a total of over 140 machines, which enables us to independently process all of the elements. In order to enhance quality control, JIMAI maintains a comprehensive lineup of rotating shaft machines, from the unprocessed material cutting stage to the final processed product.

Higher Concentricity Shaft
The rotating shaft gear rack's high concentricity prevents jamming as a result of the height change of the rack during rotation, thereby ensuring that each rotation is more precise and seamless.

500,000 Times lifespan
If operated correctly, the actuator can be utilised under 500,000 times without experiencing any jams or malfunctions. The maintenance cost can be reduced by utilising our products.

Digital leakage Testing
JIMAI develops professional leakage testing devices that display leakage data on screens, allowing us to immediately identify the size of the actuator that is experiencing a leakage issue. The testing will be more precise and controlled by digital means with these leakage devices.

Product Features

1. Prevent condensation and dripping. The long heat-insulating neck breaks the cold bridge, avoiding water dripping that may damage ceilings, electric actuators and surrounding equipment.

2. Light weight for easy installation. The die-cast aluminum-alloy body is much lighter than cast-iron valves, reducing pipeline load and facilitating handling and mounting.

3. Good corrosion resistance. Aluminum alloy offers better anti-rust performance than ordinary cast iron for longer service life in HVAC water systems.

4. Energy-saving thermal insulation. It reduces outward loss of cooling capacity and saves energy consumption of air-conditioning systems.

5. Compact structure. Featuring 90-degree rotation for opening and closing, it occupies little space and is suitable for equipment rooms and pipe shafts.

6. Low-maintenance. No on-site thermal-insulation wrapping is required.

Application

Integral aluminum-alloy anti-condensation butterfly valve is most commonly used in HVAC systems. The valve body is made of die-cast aluminum alloy with a long valve neck (heat-insulating neck) structure. Aluminum alloy has much lower thermal conductivity than cast iron, which reduces outward diffusion of cold energy.
