How Should Pneumatic Actuator Mounting Connections Be Standardized?

Pneumatic actuators  are crucial components of industrial automation control systems. The reliability and safety of system operation are directly influenced by the quality of their installation and connection. This article provides standardized guidance for engineering and technical personnel by elaborating on the installation and connection standards of pneumatic actuators.

Preparation prior to installation

1. Verify the actuator model: Verify that the valve/equipment's torque/thrust requirements, rotation angle, and other parameters are in accordance with the actuator model.

2. Verification of appearance integrity: Determine whether the actuator housing and connecting components were damaged during transportation.

3. Verify the technical specifications: Verify that the air source pressure range (typically 4-7 bar) and operating temperature range (-20℃ to 80℃) satisfy the specifications.

4. Prepare the necessary tools: Gather the necessary instruments for installation, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and levels.

Standard valve connection

The valve side connection standard is developed in accordance with the ISO5211 standard. It is capable of direct implementation with the customer's valve due to its international standard dimensions, such as F05 and F07. The customer must inform us of the valve flange dimension and output torque prior to placing an order. We will then select the appropriate model for the connection.

The accessory connection standard

Based on the NAMUR standard, the accessory connection standard is designed to be readily equipped with a solenoid valve and limit switch box. We also emphasize the air inlet hole dimension, such as G1/4, to assist customers in selecting the appropriate tube by providing a more comprehensive comprehension of this dimensions.
